Sole fish, in terms of its general structure, is a type of fish that has a very wide structure, small eyes and a flat shape due to its structure on the right. Sole is a species of fish from the soleidae family. Sole fish is one of the local fish found in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions. In the seas, at depths between 10 meters and 100-500 meters, it generally creates a habitat in the bottom areas of sandy, muddy or pebbly areas without moving very often and without making long migrations. Sole fish are between 20 and 25 centimeters in length. This fish feeds on invertebrates, small fish and insects at the bottom of the sea. The sole fish approaches the shores in the spring and breeds between June and July. The meat of this fish is plump and very tasty during the winter months. In general, it is a fish species with high economic value found in all seasons. This fish contains more nutrients than other types of fish and is richer in omega 3. Sole fish is very useful in the nutrition of children and makes important contributions to their development. The sole fish has an oval body, a very flattened body structure, a small and asymmetrical mouth, its eyes are on the right, the area of ​​the eyes is brown-green or brown-black spots. This fish has black spots on the tip of the right pectoral fin. The upper part of the pectoral fin on the upper side appears with black spots that reach the starting point. The sole fish usually finds its habitat at depths of 15 meters to 40 meters, on sandy muddy ground. In winter, it goes down to depths of 100 meters and lives there. The size of this fish is between 30-35 centimeters on average. The sole reaches a maximum size of 50 cm. Its average weight is between 300 grams and 450 grams.
